Data controller
The data controller is B.E.I. SRL, registered office at Via Borgo dei Leoni 79, 44121 Ferrara (FE), Italy, which operates the BOREAL TIMBER trading name.

What data we collect
Data you provide. By completing the enquiry form you give us: company name, contact's full name, e-mail address and — where you choose to provide them — telephone, country, type of business, species of interest, annual volume, sizes and grades required, place of destination and free-text notes.
Data collected automatically. When the form is submitted our server records the originating IP address, the browser type and the country detected from the connection. These serve to prevent automated submissions and abuse.
The site neither requests nor processes special categories of personal data. Please do not enter in the notes field any information not strictly necessary to your commercial enquiry.
Why we process it and on what legal basis
The data is processed to respond to your enquiry, prepare an offer and manage the resulting commercial contacts. The legal basis is the performance of pre-contractual measures taken at your request, under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Technical data collected for the security of the form is processed on the basis of the controller's legitimate interest in protecting the service from abuse, under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
We carry out no profiling and no automated decision-making. We do not use your data for unsolicited commercial communications without separate consent.
Provision of data
Company name, contact name and e-mail address are required in order to reply: without them the enquiry cannot be handled. All other fields are optional and serve only to make the offer more precise.
Who the data is disclosed to
The data is accessible to the controller's authorised personnel.
For hosting the website and storing enquiries we use Cloudflare, Inc. (hosting, content delivery network and storage), appointed as data processor. Transfers of data to third countries take place on the basis of the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission under Article 46 GDPR.
Data may also be disclosed to consultants and professionals assisting the controller, and to judicial or public security authorities where required by law. We neither sell nor transfer data to third parties for marketing purposes.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are retained for 24 months from the last meaningful contact, unless a contractual relationship arises from the enquiry: in that case the retention periods set by civil and tax law apply.
Technical data collected for anti-abuse purposes is retained for no longer than 12 months.
Cookies and measurement tools
This website uses no profiling, marketing or analytics cookies and employs no third-party services to track visitors. Typefaces are hosted on our own domain and involve no connections to external servers.
The hosting provider may set technical cookies strictly necessary for the security and correct operation of the service, for which consent is not required.
Your rights
You may at any time request access to your data, its rectification or erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interest (Articles 15-22 GDPR).
Requests should be addressed to info@borealtimbergroup.com and receive a reply within one month.
If you consider that the processing infringes the law, you may lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it) or with the supervisory authority of the Member State where you reside.
